The International Federation For Systems Research hosted the biannual "Pernegg Conversations 2010" from April 10th to 15th 2010 in the monestary of Pernegg, Lower Austria. For all details on this engaging event please visit the IFSR website. Our members Kathia Laszlo and Alexander Laszlo hosted a conversation on "Learning Systems for Sustainability". Our members Thomas Fundneider, Johannes Pfister, Enrique Herrscher, and Stefan Blachfellner received invitations to participate among others. The conversation might have been a trigger for further gloabl connections to strenghten local manifestations.
The team focused on two objectives: a. identifying the systemic principles relevant to formal and informal programs focused on sustainability (both educational (e.g., degree programs and community workshops/trainings), and entrepreneurial (e.g., social businesses and cause-driven ventures)); b. designing a meta-organization (e.g., a consortium) as a vehicle for enabling dialogue and collaboration among diverse and geographically dispersed individuals and institutions with a shared identity around innovating learning systems for sustainability.
We will inform you about further activities, which stem from this gathering. |
