On October 18th 2010 the Change the Game Initiative starts the first of - as we hope - many learning journeys to Slovenia. Our member Violeta Bulc sent an invitation to co-organize with the Innovation Communication Movement, the "InCo movement" of Slovenia and the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia an event for the exchange of good practices and initiatives for a progressive, sustainable development of innovation ecosystems. On April 16th to 17th 2010 we celebrated our 3 years anniversary in Salzburg, with a one day symposium on "The Fundamental Concept of Growth" co-produced by INDABA Corporate Consulting and Syntony Quest, and a one day networking event "The Change the Game Initiative – a growing community". On April 14th 2010 the Salzburg Ethics Initiative, the University of Salzburg, and the Salzburg chamber of commerce organized the one day symposium "Market Economy for the People" at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg, Austria. Stefan Blachfellner was invited to give a short introduction into "Ethonomics" and the Change the Game Initiative, the network and hub for innovation and ethics. |

Exploring the new paradigm for bringing forth game-changing innovation

Mechanistic models and a deterministic worldview may have worked well for the last centuries, but are not apt for the upcoming challenges we are facing today. Rather, we need completely different concepts and attitudes, accepting that the underlying processes escape our control and are unpredictable. It seems that the concept of "Enabling" is the key to this shift of thinking. Enabling is the art of carefully configuring adequate levers (physical space, networks, resources, etc.) that best support specific innovation processes, such as idea generation, prototyping, market entry, etc.

From November 7th to 9th the Vision Days and Vision Summit 2009 attracted visionary minds to visit Berlin. Change the Game members, Stefan and Manfred Blachfellner, Thomas Fundneider, Fritjhof Finkbeiner, Thomas Klug, Rebecca Szrama, and Johannes Pfister attended among further 1000 people the Vision Days "Citizen Entrepreneurship" headed by Prof. Günter Faltin and the Vision Summit headed by Prof. Muhammad Yunus. The learning journey was exciting and inspiring. Next to our networking activities, Johannes Pfister presented the ThinkCamp to the audience and Fritjhof Finkbeiner supported his son Felix to promote his Plant-for-the-Planet-Initiative.
